The CPU fan in this system does not seem to work correctly, it remains running much longer than appears to be necessary.
This does not appear to work. It looks like Ubuntu tries to adjust the screen brightness but nothing actually happens.
Currently there are a few small issues with the Acer Aspire 3935 under Linux but for the most part it works fairly well.
