 +===== Notes =====
 +You can enter any specific notes with running Linux on the Acer Aspire TimelineUltra M5-581T-6594 here.
 +**Enabling Palm Detection on Elantech Touchpads**
 +Under Ubuntu 12.10, synclient detects the touchpad and it works properly, but by default palm detection is disabled. In order to make it work, simply append the following lines to /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf:
 +# Enable palm detection on Elantech Touchpads
 +# for Acer M581T
 +Section "InputClass"
 + Identifier "Enable palm detection on Elantech touchpads"
 + MatchProduct "ETPS/2 Elantech Touchpad"
 + Option "PalmDetect" "1"
 + Option "PalmMinWidth" "5"
 + Option "AreaLeftEdge" "150"
 +        Option "FingerHigh" "20"
 +The last two parameters (AreaLeftEdge and FingerHigh) are optional, but are recommended as they move the left usable edge of the trackpad slightly to the right (more comfortable when typing) and increase the minimum pressure required to move the cursor (default sensitivity is way too high).
 +**Making the Backlight Keys Work**
 +Edit /etc/defaults/grub to be the following:
 +# If you change this file, run 'update-grub' afterwards to update
 +# /boot/grub/grub.cfg.
 +# For full documentation of the options in this file, see:
 +#   info -f grub -n 'Simple configuration'
 +GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian`
 +GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="quiet splash acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor"
 +# Uncomment to enable BadRAM filtering, modify to suit your needs
 +# This works with Linux (no patch required) and with any kernel that obtains
 +# the memory map information from GRUB (GNU Mach, kernel of FreeBSD ...)
 +# Uncomment to disable graphical terminal (grub-pc only)
 +# The resolution used on graphical terminal
 +# note that you can use only modes which your graphic card supports via VBE
 +# you can see them in real GRUB with the command `vbeinfo'
 +# Uncomment if you don't want GRUB to pass "root=UUID=xxx" parameter to Linux
 +# Uncomment to disable generation of recovery mode menu entries
 +# Uncomment to get a beep at grub start
 +#GRUB_INIT_TUNE="480 440 1"
