Notes

For the test was used Ubuntu Linux 9.10 (Karmic) 64 edition - without any “adjustment” - even with the “live” edition.

Summary

It worked out of the box - really good & inexpensive Linux laptop!

Noisy fan, though.

Mandriva notes

With Mandriva 2009.1 ethernet works only with ACPI disabled. With Mandriva 2010.0 I obtained only a black screen 5 second after boot. The same in safe mode.

Ubuntu notes

To make backlight adjustment work in Ubuntu Karmic with Kernel Mode Setting, follow this guide: http://www.uluga.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1446943
