 +The C90S includes the NVIDIA Geforce 8600M which is currently not supported with the open source '​nv'​ module from Xorg. To get the display working you will need to install the proprietary modules from [[http://​www.nvidia.com|NVIDIA]].

 +Some hardware in this system requires kernel version 2.6.22 or later. Ubuntu 7.10 work well with this laptop as it already includes both this kernel as well as the proprietary nvidia module.

 +It wasn't difficult at all installing Linux on the Asus C90S. You will need to manually install the proprietary module in some Linux distributions (eg. Fedora 8) but that isn't too difficult.
