Linux can be installed on this laptop, but the Intel GMA 500 (“Poulbos”) driver is problematic. Intel is apparently working on a new driver, and hopefully it will work on this netbook.

Fedora 11 and 12 run OK on this laptop, but with some reservations: I have never been able to get the Poulbos driver working, hence I am running it with VESA 800×600, which is obviously rather disappointing. See this blog entry by Adam Williams for detailed info on GMA 500 support in Fedora Intel GMA500 (Poulsbo) on Fedora 11 (with working 3D/compiz support)
Hibernate: yes Suspend: no
Under Fedora 11, WiFi doesn't resume after hibernate; under F12, this works as it should.
