Every hardware is tested under Ubuntu 9.04.
I have no other type of memory card so I've tested the card reader with a Memory Stick and a Memory Stick Pro Duo. Only problem is that function keys (Fn+F1 and so on) don't work. Suspend worked neither. Also if you plug out the power cord the system doesn't realises thet it is on battery power. Maybe a further update will help. By the way the laptop is very useable. edited by grouder
UPDATE 2009-05-20
Card reader is working with SD cards to. Funtion keys work properly with 2.6.29 kernel. For Ubuntu you can obtain it from here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds. Suspend can be fixed with the following steps:
1. Add this line: Option “NvAGP” “1” to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file under Devices section. 2. Edit your /etc/default/acpi-support file with this option: POST_VIDEO=false
I hope this workaround helped someone. Still have questions? Write to me: grouder (a) gmail (.) com
