Sound work with this alsa-base file: cat /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base alias /dev/mixer snd-mixer-oss alias /dev/dsp snd-pcm-oss alias /dev/midi snd-seq-oss options snd_hda_intel model=3stack-dig alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel

Sound does not work upon installation with Ubuntu 9.04 but works upon update. Sound works on default installation of Ubuntu 9.10

Summary

Wireless and sound does not work after installation of Ubuntu 8.10. Latest alsa driver needed to make sound work. Sound does not work upon installation with Ubuntu 9.04 but works upon update. Sound and wireless work on default installation of Ubuntu 9.10.
