Linux Compatibility

I am running a Gentoo-Linux using kde 4.3 with kernel 2.6.31 on this laptop. I also tested knoppix, elive, sabayon. All worked well. This Laptop is not problematic in Linux.

Optical DriveWorks
GraphicsWorksnvidia-drivers work without problems
SoundWorksIntel HD_Audio

Works well with Gentoo-Linux. Only problem: NEVER plug in or plug out the power-adapter, when the Laptop is running in Linux. It will in most cases lock the system completely. (The caps-lock-led blinks, and nothing works anymore) This problem is still present, from kernel 2.6.29 up till 2.6.31. If you hibernate for plugging it works. Hibernating works like a charm on it with all the tested kernels. The system is stuck so hard, you have to unplug the akku, so it gets up again. (Also the newest bios changes nothing in this behaviour)

It really is a nice Laptop, with an installed SSD as system-disk, it is a beast in speed, and performs my Desktop with a Q6600 out in most cases. (I need a ssd in my desktop now ;-))
